CCBS Senior Girls Begin Ulster their Campaign

CCBS Senior Girls Begin Ulster Campaign in Style

The CCBS senior girls got their Ulster title campaign underway with an impressive display of football in their opening blitz competition on Monday the 12th of October.

CCBS faced Magh Ene, Holy Cross and St Kevin’s Lisnaskea, with the teams competing to secure their place in the next stage of the Ulster competition.

There were some excellent passages of play, particularly in the games against Magh Ene and Holy Cross. Both sides had dangerous forwards, but the CCBS defence stood strong throughout. Katie McGowan, Aodhbha O’Donnell and Caitlin McGuinness were outstanding at the back, keeping their opponents under pressure and limiting their scoring opportunities.

The Ballyshannon girls built their success on strong defending, quick transitions and an exciting, fast-paced style of attacking football. Katie McMahon, Rachel Gillespie and Faye Monaghan found the net with some excellent goals, helping to seal impressive victories for CCBS.

The girls can now look forward to the Ulster quarter-finals after the midterm break.

Well done to all the players on a fantastic team performance, and to team management Mr Kenny and Mrs Coleman.
