The Minister for Education & Skills Joe Mc Hugh has confirmed that

(i) the Leaving Cert exams have been postponed until late July/early August. Project work and practical exams will also be rescheduled for the late July/early August period.

(ii) The Junior Cert final exams due to take place in June have been cancelled, and will be replaced by classroom based assessments early in the new school year.
