May 1st 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please see the assessment and reporting arrangements laid out for our students this May 2020.
Each subject teacher will explain the process to their students. Please encourage your child to continue to engage online as best they can, we appreciate that there are barriers to this. If you have a particular problem please contact your child’s Year Head and we will do our best to assist you.
Junior Cycle Students
- All Junior Cycle students will receive a School Report in June outlining achievements in the Junior Cycle. This will also provide an assessment of their learning throughout the three years. Taking into account the “OLD” and “NEW” syllabus. Our whole school approach is as follows:
- 80% made up of a mix of Term Reports/Mock result/CBAs 1 & 2, where applicable, and project work, where applicable (each individual Subject Dept. will inform their students of the approach that they are applying).
- 20% made up of 2 assignments to be covered over the next few weeks.
- All Junior Cycle students will receive a State Certificate of completion in the autumn.
1st, 2nd, 5th and TY Students
These groups will receive the usual end of year report. Assessment details will be communicated via subject teachers. Please continue to engage to your best ability. If you are having any problems please contact the relevant Year Head or info@ccbs.ie.
